School Emergency Preparedness Plan
Our extensive School Safety Plan for emergency preparedness includes fire, lock down and earthquake drills for staff and students on a regular basis. One large-scale emergency preparedness drill is held involving all staff, students and parent volunteers each year.
Evacuation maps are posted in each room. If it becomes necessary to evacuate the school, students will be taken to The Recreation Center.
In case of an emergency that warrants a campus lock down, parents pick up their child(ren) at the Parent Communication/Reunion Gate located near the main gate of the campus once the San Diego Police Department has given the "all clear."
Please note:
Fire Short, intermittent bells = evacuate.
Lock Down Long, continuous bell = lock down, duck and cover until directed.
