Dear EBS Families,
Welcome to the new school year. My name is Linda Smith and I am an Education Specialist here at EBS.
I was born and raised in the Long Beach area and came down to San Diego to attend Point Loma Nazarene University for my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education. It was there that I met my husband. I taught a 3rd and 4th grade combination class at a private school for one year and then we started a family. My 4 adult children all attended school in Scripps Ranch. In 2002, I was first introduction to EBS when my daughter attended 5th grade. I quickly began volunteering and was excited to be part of the EBS community.
SDUSD hired me as a Special Education Assistant at EBS in that capacity 2003-2008. It was then that I went back to Point Loma Nazarene University for my credential as an Education Specialist, and was an Education Specialist Intern at EBS from 2008-2010. When my Intern credential was complete, I was transferred to another school in the District. I was very excited when I was given the opportunity to come back to EBS in 2015.
I’m so grateful to be part of this amazing community, and really look forward to “seeing” you again, or getting to know your child and family.
